Press Brake Forming

Two brakes, a shearer, a roll former and a punch press.

A JMT AD-R 2060 at 66 ton and 67″ wide handles the long work; a 90 ton Cincinnati handles the heavy work. Between them, plus shearing, roll forming and punching, a flat blank becomes a profile without leaving the building.

Capability

Forming is where a slatwall panel actually becomes one.

Megawall slatwall is formed and welded rather than routed. The slat profile — the geometry that lets a panel carry over 50 lbs per linear foot and conceal its own fastener — is created on these brakes. We are, in other words, the customer that stress-tests our own forming capability every single day.

Two brakes of different capacities matters more than one big one: long, light work goes on the 67″ JMT, heavy short work goes on the 90 ton Cincinnati, and neither job waits for the other. A shearer, roll former and punch press cover the operations either side of the bend.

What to send us

The four things that let us quote properly.

Bend geometry

Internal radii, flange lengths and how close a bend sits to a feature all drive tooling. Send the drawing rather than describing it.

Material and gauge

Springback and minimum radius depend on both. Tell us the alloy and temper, not just "steel" or "aluminum".

Part length

The JMT gives 67" of brake width. Anything longer needs planning, and it is far better to discuss it before the blank is cut.

Tolerance that matters

Tell us which dimensions are critical and which are not. A blanket tight tolerance on every feature costs money that usually buys nothing.

Good to know

Common questions about press brake forming

A JMT AD-R 2060 at 66 ton, 67" wide with a 10.4" stroke, and a Cincinnati at 90 ton with an 8" stroke.
The JMT gives 67 inches of brake width. Longer parts need to be discussed before the blank is cut — call us early and we will work out the approach.
Yes. There is a roll former and a punch press on the floor alongside the brakes and the Cincinnati shearer.
Yes. Megawall aluminum slatwall and NuPanel are both aluminum products formed in this plant. Send the alloy and temper with your enquiry.
Yes, and so is the whole chain around it — cutting, welding, machining, finishing, assembly and shipping — for contract and OEM customers.

Ready to start

Tell us the material, the thickness and the quantity.

That is usually enough for a feasibility answer on the same call. Drawings help; a photo of the existing part works too.
