Shelving & brackets

Two tiers, nine standard sizes, and a bracket for the awkward stuff.

Formed and welded from heavy-gauge steel in the same plant as the panels. Pick the tier from the weight, the size from the product footprint, and the bracket for anything a shelf was never going to hold properly.

Choosing a tier

Which shelving is appropriate for my merchandise?

The honest version: weight decides the tier, footprint decides the size, and awkwardness decides whether you want a shelf at all.

Custom brackets

Some products were never going to sit on a shelf.

The heavy-duty bracket range exists because a meaningful share of retail merchandise is long, awkward, badly balanced, or simply the wrong shape for a rectangle. Four standard lengths cover most of it.

Where they do not, Megawall engineers the bracket. That is a genuinely different proposition from buying from a catalogue: the laser, the press brakes and the welders are in the same building as the engineering, so a one-off bracket for an unwieldy product is a normal week rather than a special project.

Common questions about shelving

Height and intent. High-performance shelves are 6" high and come in six sizes for heavier merchandise. Medium-duty shelves are 3" high in three sizes for lighter goods. Both are formed and welded from heavy-gauge steel — the difference is the section depth of the shelf itself, not the material.
Work from the product footprint and the aisle. High-performance runs 18"x18", 23"x14", 24"x22", 34"x14", 46"x14" and 48"x24". Medium-duty runs 24"x12", 36"x12" and 48"x12". If none of those fit, custom sizes are available.
When the product is out of the ordinary or unwieldy enough that a shelf is the wrong support — long, awkward or oddly balanced goods. Brackets come in 12", 14", 16" and 18" lengths, and custom brackets are engineered where the standard lengths do not work.
Yes, and with the freestanding display fixtures, since those use the same panels. One shelving specification can cover walls and floor fixtures across a store.
Yes. Custom sizes and colours are both available, and finishing is done in-house alongside the panels, so a shelf can match the wall it sits on.
